Shane Warne says match-fixers should be banned for life

ANY player involved in Pakistan's alleged match fixing should be banned for life if the allegations are proved, Shane Warne said today.

The former Test spinner said those behind the damaging scandal that had rocked world cricket should never play again.

"They should be thrown out, simple as that,'' Warne said.

"I don't think there is any other way to do it, if they have been involved in throwing games.

"They should be banned for life ... anybody who is involved should be thrown out.''

Warne, who commentated for the Australia-Pakistan match that is now under investigation, said it would almost make sense if the allegations were proved to be correct.

"Pakistan are such a hot, cold team,"" he said.
